Images keep their proportions and are never enlarged. Maximum width starts at 1920 px; raise it to keep a larger original at full size.
WebP supports transparency. Lower quality can reduce file size but may lose detail.
Conversion stays on your device. Up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Animated files become a still image; camera metadata is not preserved in the export.

The converted preview shows the actual exported file. Enlarge either image to switch between versions and inspect at 100%.

Compare before downloading
Review original and converted previews, dimensions and file sizes. A smaller file is not always a better image; inspect detail at the size you plan to use.
Choose the output
WebP and JPEG use the quality setting. PNG is lossless and ignores that setting. JPEG fills transparency with white; animated inputs become a still image.
Try this
For a 1200 × 800 image, choose max width 600 to export 600 × 400. Try PNG for transparency or JPEG for a white background, then inspect the actual exported preview and file size.
Use the result as one part of your troubleshooting. Network information can change over time.
